Shimano Clipless pedals and Shoes help

Are right, that makes more sense.


I would stick with what you have and see how you get on. If you have any trouble clipping out then you have the SH56 cleat option for not a lot of money. If you get on well with them then you know you can go to any clip in system no problem.

There is one thing I have noticed my SPD don't seem to have any body around them compared to the Shimano A600

I get the feeling all the retailer is seeing is £ signs new shoes and pedals you don't need comes to a fair few £££. I bought a new road bike the other week and have double sided SPD pedals on it the same as my MTB

Does not need it but i just prefere the look / ride of the A600 pedal, although the A520 a similar

If you want flat bottomed "road" shoes like in the link, and fit metal spd cleats then they are lethal, the little plastic adaptors make them walkable.

Personaly just use "MTB" shoes, like you have and then walking is not a problem anyway.

I only linked them so you can see how wrong your retailer is.

Ill get some SPD with a wider "platform" this should make it slightly better for me as I like to feel a pedal rather than just a cleat. Thanks for your help
