if the ladies can wear shorts but the blokes can't... what about lady-boys?
You want to wear a lady-boy?

Some useful info from The Daily Telegraph (not that I read it), the measuring shorts length by kneeling down with a box of matches measure looks jolly useful.

Don't get these work dress codes at some places. They won't let them wear shorts but being flustered, sweating in a stuffy, often ill fitting suit is a great look? Make me cringe.

this is our policy (meetings smart with tie etc.)

Outside of the above Business Meetings a more casual dress code can be adopted, if people consider it to be appropriate for them. For the avoidance of doubt, guidelines on this are given below and please note the words smart and casual both apply.

Smart Casual – Male Employees
Shirt with collars
Sweaters
Full length trousers
Jackets

Smart Casual - Female employees
Skirt
Trousers
Smart casual top
Sweaters

All
Trousers do not include jeans
Shoes to be clean and smart – no trainers
Personal appearance should be neat and tidy at all times
