Should I go microwave free and buy an air fryer?

Just had Veggie stew and Veggie suet dumplings courtesy of Mrs W cooked in the oven. Took a fair well to cook, which meant we had plenty of time for pre dinner drinks.🥂

I have an air fryer but I don't use it any more - instead I have an air fryer oven which is fandabbydozy.

I could understand using the flask if going out, but not if staying in.

I simply boil what I need, pouring with ~10sec delay for coffee.

But where I don't follow convention, is I then refill to anticipated requirements with tap water, that then gets warmed by the warm element and so needs less electric to boil next time (typically in an hour or so, with last caffeine no later than 1700).

The problem is one of inefficiency. The maths are in favour of boiling it once for a larger amount than 3 or 4 times for a smaller amount, particularly as you cant boil exactly a mugs worth.

And then if I don't use it all the Stanley flask is so efficient it still steaming hot the following morning.

If I were really anal id boil the kettle at night on the cheap rate (were on an overnight eleftric car tariff), but that smacks of effort!

No, I only have that microwave, a slow cooker, an egg boiler and a toaster.

I had a look in the local Tesco tonight. All they had were well known brand (can't remember the name) 800 watt microwaves for £85. I thought they'd have more than that and I'm sure they had air fryers the other week. Anyway, I'm going to have a look in Accrington Aldi tomorrow as someone told me it's quite a big store that sells microwaves, air fryers etc. I have about £285 left on some Aldi vouchers I got nearly 2 years ago, so if Aldi have a microwave and an air fryer, those vouchers should cover the cost.

Asda again for a cheap Microwave. Micro + Air Fryer for £56 total if on a budget.

Asda and Lidl are good if they have them in - the trouble is if they have them in or not!

You have to be careful as they disconnect easily if the appliance get nudged

Yours is probably a cheap knock off. I will get a genuine one made in China

You can boil enough for one mug with this bad boy

Often best to reserve online. My microwave packed in recent and I reserved amine in one of their flash sales.
I say flash sale. Absurdly cheap, it went out of stock the very same day.
