I am disappointed in the lack of votes in support of my dilemma...

I have grated carrots regularly at lunch time when I can get them. Usually with chopped apple and a banana with a touch of mayo.Sometimes add onion and the inner leaves of cabbage as well if finely sliced. I could add tomato but generally do not as it can aggravate gastric reflux. This is followed by homemade soup made from whatever happens to be available.

One thing I will never understand is people putting egg in salad. In an egg salad yes, that's fine, it's an additional ingredient but not just in a salad salad, it's not even a plant. Mix the yolk up with some oil and mustard and slap it on the top by all means, but boiled and sliced? No.

Yep. 'Julienne' carrots often get added to a salad here along with Apple, Grapes or Olives. Cabbage, Meh, but bloody 'Iceberg' Lettuce is virtually one anyway. :hungry:
