Here's a pic of my old Hofner.

It was badged as a President, on the label inside the body, but despite in-depth searches, I've not found one to match

I used to own one of Martin Barres (Jethro Tull) guitars that was
made for him by the guys at Hamer,it weighed an absolute ton as
it was made of rosewood and mahogany,it had a beautiful dragon
inlayed into the fretboard.
I could only play it sitting down as it

gave me neck ache
,sadly
no pics, I sold it back to his guitar


tech in 1992 who i promised i

that's a tasty looking guitar mate, I wanted the maroon version of the one i own but they were hard to buy at the time

They are all my favourites and so I don't have one fave (you do know that N+1 applies to guitars too don't you?)
So I'll post a pic of the new Strat I've just bought!
It's one of those new '65 vintage reissues - and very nice it is too.

I really fancied the Dakota red one in the shop, but on playing this one back to back with the red it was clear that this guitar was just more resonant.

Got a couple of friends, who play 'slap' Bass (one's a girl!!)

I had a go a few times, & it's harsh on the finger-tips

Neville was in a band, but I can't remember their name

This thread might be more interesting and relevant if somebody can show a guitar strapped to their bike! Or indeed any kind of musical instrument.

There you go! I cycled all over Britain with my guitar strapped to my bike, busking in every town that I passed. I actually wrote a book about it ( http://www.lunchmusic.co.uk/Buy the Book/ ) called "At Home in the Bushes" my year-long adventure living in a tent and journeying up North on a bike I found in a ditch. Great to see so many folk with such a great combination of interests! (Guitars & Cycling)
