Are you not worried that if it snows no one will see you?;)

Cheaper than cheap
An MTB so it can deal with anything
Respected but not loved or cleaned
Hardly worth stealing, but always locked up
Scratches galore
I think mine fits that description, but it is an all-year-round hack not just a winter one:

£100 brand new in 2010 and as well as doing roughly 1500 miles each year, it has been taken over Garburn Pass, Claife Heights, Grizedale and is a regular visitor to the Long Mynd.

As you might imagine there are more new parts than original after that lot.:giggle:

Loving that beaver tail :like
That's a new addition & works a treat. The mudguards were cheap ones that I had for an older bike and are way too short really so I made the extensions out of some aluminium sheet. It makes a big difference.

I think they'll look better in black though so I'll do a repaint when the weather improves.

My hack, not just winter though, i did ride it all year round.

Now decommissioned of all the bling (deore groupset) and in the process of being rebuilt to the original issue kit. Going to sell it to raise funds for my winter project.
