Sign's With punctuation Error's

Seen in Walthamstow E17. I get somewhat irritated by poor punctuation but I wouldn't go around correcting the local graffiti...

Oh now that reminds me... when i was a lad I decided I'd show my allegiance to Metal and scrawl the names of many rock & metal bands all over an old pair of jeans... I was quite good at replicating the fonts for AC-DC, Iron Maiden, Saxon and the like... on the down side, I wasn't very good at spelling Status Quo, which went all the way down the side of one leg, spelt Satus Quo

i think in the States... your is an acceptable spelling of you're... but it's not the first nor the last thing they'll get completely wrong!

I tried pulling a yank up on his spelling on another forum years ago... his excuse was that 'your' for 'you're' in the US is acceptable... but thinking back, he was as thick as pigsh!t.

I could not but help of this thread yesterday when driving over to my grandfather's. I didn't manage to get a photo, by the time I had asked my OH to photo it, the vehicle had turned off - it was actually that bad that even my OH who admits his grammar is bad spotted the errors!

Hope his gardening services are are better than his grammar!

I'll only pay attention to America when they work out that cars have bonnets, not hoods.

I always used to think this was wrong. But now I think that as we actually say, phonetically, "Joneses" then we should at least write it the same way
