Hi all.
I thought I’d show these effective pannier storage ideas.

The first is just transparent pencil cases from WHS. Useful for storage of USB cables, manuals, visa photos, anything small that is not so easy to fumble around finding in other bags.

The second is just small 'Hi-Gear' cool-bag from Go-Outdoors, about (£5.99) and I find good as a toiletry bag.

The WHS pencil cases look handy.

Muji is a really useful source of lightweight bags and bits and pieces.

If you reduce the size of your washing gear you can reduce the size of the bag. There must be a years supply of showet gel there :0)

+1!

I cut the end off a bar of soap to take when I'm on tour!

I use dry bags inside the panniers, but small ziplock bags to organise things inside the dry bags: one for toiletries, one for gadget cables & chargers, etc.

I use the Ortlieb front & rear panniers, along with one of their 31 litre rack-top bags so dryness is of no worry, the pencil cases are for simply organising smaller fiddly bits-n-pieces within and fit nicely in the Ortliebs internal back pocket so are tucked out the way.

Cutting the end of a bar of soap is what I also do on smaller tours but on a year-long tour (as I’m on) it means buying a bar of soap every week, I also use the shower gel for washing my clothes so it soon goes. The toiletry bag also contains my electric shaver, anti-malaria tablets, a tick removal tool and a few other basic first-aids. I was simply suggesting some ideas that (for me) work out rather well.

My new blog-post should be up weekend (Budapest to Munich).
