So, you won't have seen 'The Lives of Others' on BBC4 last night then? It was superb. Glad I've got a telly...
I do have a telly but only use it to watch the GPs. I have no idea what the Lives of Others is but am delighted to have missed it. ~1 hour of my life not wasted.

What did you do instead?

I've no idea as I don't know when it was on but assuming I wasn't working, probably done some one or more of the following - worked on some of my various ongoing DIY projects, went for walk/cycle, serviced car/bike, washed car/bike, write emails to some of my friends, read a book, chopped fire wood.

All I hear from people is "I wish I had more time to do X, Y or Z," yet they find the time to spend hours watching soaps and pointless reality TV shows.;)

Intriguing. What do you do with the Brie? I guess it works on other days of the week too?

Perfect scrambled eggs:

Melt a chunk of butter in a saucepan
beat two eggs per person with salt and pepper
pour eggs in pan with melted butter
cook over a very low heat indeed, stirring all the time
as eggs start to thicken, add lots of chunks of brie
when eggs are nearly ready, add another chunk of butter, turn the heat off and serve up on toast as the butter melts. Do not overcook the eggs, they should still be almost (but not quite) runny.
For best results, have on a Sunday morning with a large Bloody Mary or a Harvey Wallbanger. Yum.

Also try substituting the brie for lightly sauteed green chillies and fresh coriander, or smoked salmon.

Yes, but smoked salmon beats cheese in my humble opinion. A cooking tip is to add another raw egg if the mixture gets too dry at any stage.
After that breakfast, there really is no excuse for not getting into the saddle.

Go into meetings totally unprepared. It makes them a lot more fun, and keeps you on your toes.
And if you come out of a meeting with no extra work to do, count it as a major victory, and reward yourself with either a beer or an item of cycle clothing/accessory.
