Well I had a testride on a medium Plug 1 (bullhorn version) which my local Evans rather helpfully had in...I really like the simplicity of SS, no faffing with gears just turn the pedals and brake as required. It wasn't ideal as I had SPD shoes on so was pedalling more on my heels than toes to avoid scratching the pedals! Also i've sore legs at the moment, so my knee was a tad grumbly probably as saddle a bit low. On the bars, the bike felt a bit small, better on the horns. I had a sit on a large with drop bars and that felt stretched.

I like SS (on flat roads) but I am not sure that's the right bike, despite the chrome which helps, I am not sure I could reconcile the black, more so as it's a matt finish!

I think it's time for a trip to Shorditch/Hoxton/Clerkenwell to have a mooch around some shops, to hang with @jefmcg and the other hipster kids

I am sure the Charge is a good bike especially at £300, just wish it wasn't black!

Didn't like the 32mm tyres really, could switch to 28mm but no narrower due to the rim width apparently

You know how much I love my plug freestlyer SS (too many commutes for me to run her fixed) Why not get the black one, budget in some masking tap, spray paint, leave the decal areas black and spray the rest? Maybe go for a bumblebee look?
