I like comedy but I do really like one liners and comedians who can really pull this off are rare. He had that talent.

Might be rare down south, but he was a northerner.

he died in the same house he was born in. That is amazing in this day and age, especially as he could clearly afford to move to a different home even if he didn’t want to move away from the area.

I saw him on stage last year. He still did a 3 hour show. He chatted to the audience. The show was good old fashioned variety. He was still funny. He could still sing well.

Sad to hear of his passing. His comedy came from another age where people didn't find it necessary to use a string of obscenities.

We saw him approx 18 months ago. We loved it but he was starting to forget things eg he got partway though a joke then, seriously, asked "have I just told this one"?
That was sad to witness. We still enjoyed it and still had to leave when he was still "giving it to the audience" at 12:30. (Lot of 'still' in that comment).
