I like comedy but I do really like one liners and comedians who can really pull this off are rare. He had that talent.
Indeed. And I do like laughing a northerners. There’s plenty here and the stupidity they come out with makes me chuckle.Might be rare down south, but he was a northerner.
Are you certain about that offer. It is exceedingly kind of youNot a fan of the one liner, never have been, Tim Vine I find annoying too. All that 'tickling stick' / 'diddy men' stuff was just contrite childish shite too. I think he had his moment in [pre] history.
But he seemed a good man and for that, he can have an RIP.

We saw him approx 18 months ago. We loved it but he was starting to forget things eg he got partway though a joke then, seriously, asked "have I just told this one"?I saw him on stage last year. He still did a 3 hour show. He chatted to the audience. The show was good old fashioned variety. He was still funny. He could still sing well.
Sad to hear of his passing. His comedy came from another age where people didn't find it necessary to use a string of obscenities.
Good bye Doddy.
