Suggest she goes to try it out for herself. Evans make test riding v easy. Looks a nice simple bike wth the single chainring

The Subway is a perrenial favourite.

About 15kg though compared to the 11Ish of the Lithium. If shes not looking for a durable commuter, the Subway may not be the one

She wont be able to tell the difference when shes sat on the bike. Shes not competing, it wont make that much difference.

You say that, but IME even the occasional rider notices the difference. My wife has a Whyte which is very similar to the Pinnacle and says she felt a difference immediately, although she couldn't articulate exactly why, it just felt more "lively" to her. She loves riding it.

You can’t tell things like that to her.

Is she going to commute on it as it's on C2W? If so, she might want to add money for full mudguards, rack (checking these will fit ok), lights etc to her voucher

I don't compete on any of my bikes either, but I do have to carry them through the house, up steps at railway stations etc so bike weight does make a difference

Except she might well spend more time riding the lighter bike as she enjoys it more

Even wiser old saying...no one ever got fit after buying a heavy bike that then lives in the shed for a year and ends up as 'barely ridden' on eBay

Not when comparing 15kg and 11kg bikes...about 9lbs straight away
