Hoping for a Welsh win today as my dad is over from California, my brother isn't working on a Saturday for the first time in months so the Davies men will be drinking and singing our hearts out at the pub later. A Welsh win will certainly make the final weekend more fun for everyone.

Agreed. Can you get Brains dark in Bath? I have distinctly pleasant memories of a long Easter weekend on that, mostly in a pub called 'The Duke of Boots' in Cardiff. Duke of Wellington of course. In the pub, we had a smoking contest, where the idea was to burn down a fag in the shortest possible time. Gold Flake was a bit of a challenge, as were Sobranie Black Russian. I ate 29 triangles of toast for first breakfast that tour - set me up well for the Brains...Bloody Welsh, bloody rugby! Ah, the 'good old days'!

Hope you all have a great time.

A disappointing and slightly turgid outcome to the last round

I thought the Scots had come on/learned enough to be beat Italy – but they left the determined attacking game they seemed to be developing in the changing room – simply not good enough to beat an Italian side who whilst they don’t seem to developing as quickly as I hoped they would played with spirit

England without Brown in the side as I feared didn’t have an answer to the intelligent purposeful kicking from the Irish 9 and 10 – as indicated by the total lack of England turnovers in the close play - and an Irish pack that played a solid determination. Only Goode thing for England was the full back who played with a calm competence but without the dynamism of Brown

Wales got a bit of their mojo back against a French side that have forgotten how it all works - but Wales still nowhere like what they were.

Wales v Ireland – Ireland to turn them inside out and win by 12-20 points

England v Scots – Assuming Scotland can find their way onto the pitch England to win by 2 -4 tries

France v Italy – France to win by a couple of tries or more -

Woeful wastefulness from England, not just sloppy passing on the run (forwards, to the opposition), but the same old same old...losing lineouts, giving away 'in at the side' penalties, just general carelessness and lack of precision. You watch the southern hemisphere sides, they just don't do that stuff. England really have to raise their game if they have any real ambitions of mixing it with the big boys. A win, but really...

Still, a win. Phew.
