Me and my cycling mate decided to enter for a 28 mile sky ride. Now, who has experience of these Sky Rides which are classed as "strong" or "strong+" and could tell me if these things are competitive and you get placed as you cross the line, i.e 1st 2nd 3rd and so on. Basically, is it a race?
    Cheers.

No it's just a social ride. The rating is a guide to how tough and who fit you need to be. IMO most guided sky rides are pretty slow and tame compared to your avg club run.

I only do sky rides rated strong and a woman on a shopping bike turned up and rode once. Depending on who turns up to ride, the best you can hope for is the a steady group club ride. It's not a race and loads of stops waiting for people to catch up
