Then its likely the chain ring. A chain replacement might also be imminent.
We haven't seen your (chain) ring yet, so speculating is pointless. Photo please. On the big ring, chain slips as soon as under load. On the small ring, not at all! Any ideas why and also how to remedy would be very much appreciated.
Sounds more likely. It would take some serious wear for the chain to slip on the large chainring but the extra torque would make it more likely to slip on a worn sprocket.Do you mean that the chain slips on the big chainring itself or it slips on the rear cassette when on the front big ring?
Why do you say that?If big front and big rear there's a good chance it'll slip.
I love trying to be helpful with suggestions and then having them dismissed. WRONG
It could any or all three parts of the setup, the cassette and the chain and the front chain ring. WRONG
The owner thinks the big ring is jumping, and I've had this before but you never really know where the jumping is taking place but sometimes it can be obvious. WRONG
It could even be a bad single stiff chainlink for all we know. YOU ARE WRONG
I am just offering suggestions and asking for clarification. WRONG AGAIN.
I've edited my own post to save others the trouble. RIGHT
