My new Boardman Hybrid has a habit every minute or so in slipping gears - as I pedal along the rear cogs jump between a couple of gears - most notably between 1st & 2nd when on the small front cog and pretty much everything when on the big front cog.

I am sure this is relatively common not just to Boardmans (I've had it before but dont think a service at this point is the answer - £££) - I dont want to have the hastle of going back to halfords (too far) - anyone know of a cure or a good video tutorial for those who are newish to this type of work?

Thanks
Kev

Try here or here. There are some videos on YouTube as well, just Google Rear Derailleur Adjustment.

It's all about cable tension, Don't adjust the screws just turn the adjuster on the rear mech, not too much it will sort it.
