I've played in club competitions with twenty or thirty people watching and even at that level the pressure is enormous when you're trying to hold yourself together. How these guys do it I don't know, they must have nerves of granite.

its bad enough when you're just playing your mates at pool for bragging rights.....

I'm catching up on the O'Sullivan vs Si Jiahui match. I've developed a strong dislike for Shaun Murphy as commentator. He's incredibly critical of nearly every shot. He sounds arrogant and rude, especially for a player who has been knocked out

Ronnie had a nightmare session. He lost this mornings session 8-0.
He elected to change his tip and it’s backfired.

I can easily see Xintong beating Ronnie tonight, with a session to spare.

Too many errors all tournament so far, but Ronnie is finally playing someone who is playing well enough to punish him.

But who knows, miracles sometimes happen and snooker is fairly unique in that only one player can be at the table.

Indeed.

I predict an 18-8 final win for Zhao, probably against Trump. It is a shame Brecel fell short, that being a 'dream final'.

Indeed, rather like golf and darts, although in snooker you can make life more difficult for your opponent whereas in the other two it is just you !

It needs far less than a miracle for O'Sullivan to come back. A poor start for Zhao and the form book can completely reverse. I've followed the game since the early seventies and I've seen large leads wiped out time and time again. Ronnie has it all to do, but if he comes good he can claw it back. Five frames is still a long way from victory.

I admire your optimism!
