Not quite what I expected, even though I had Williams at 1 to 5 to win.

It’s a long way back for Williams.
He has played 18 more frames of snooker than Zhao in the tournament to date. And it shows.

Suspect it would have been a better final if Trump had won his semi. Previous rounds seem to have taken their toll on MW.

Probably. Very strangely they had Zhao at 2.2 to win the final whilst Trump still had a chance to win.
I sometimes put the odd couple of quid on deemed value bets. That 2.2 seemed so bizarre I bet the dolls house on him.

After going 7 frames down in the first session it’s been fairly even since then.
He just hasn’t recovered from that initial battering.

Judd will still be seeded 1 as far I know and Xintong will be seeded 2 when he gets the last required frame tonight, as I can't see a Hendry vs Jimmy fightback happening (or Mark's clawback against Matthew Stevens).

We could easily see Judd and Xintong meeting each other in a number of finals next season, going on how the world champs have played out.

I think so too. He didn't play well in the semi, but he has been the best in the world this year.
Actually, Zhao has likely been the best this season, possibly by a fair margin.
He won events Q3, Q4 , Q5 and Q6 with a 147 along the way. Since his restart last September he has hardly lost a match.

He caught my attention being the best by far in the Q tournament for this world championship.
Zhao has fallen a bit short, like Williams, in this final. From being off the tour, he is now top 16, assuming a win.
In the January UK championship, Murphy had one of his mini purple patches to beat Zhao 1st round.
