Snow.........is coming

From my ride into work this morning:

Not gonna last though, has not snowed at all today here in town.

We had the best Blizzard I have seen for a few years in Shrewsbury this afternoon. Went from no snow to about an inch in little over 5 minutes. Mostly melted now, but we never get snow here and so it was pretty whilst it lasted.

took my daughter 2 hours from Glossop to dukinfield crem today...that's about 7 miles !!!

Ha! I went from Ashton just down the hill from the Crem to the top of the Snake Pass and back again in about 2½hrs. Maybe she should have cycled

That is a poor show indeed. Buxton used to get cut off for weeks back in the day. They just don't try hard enough anymore

Funny thing, I saw more people on bikes this morning than I do usually and it was pretty much like that pic here too, the hailstorm half way in was an added bonus, buff up to my nose, barely an inch of skin showing.

Got the bib longs out for under my 'normal' trousers tomorrow as it looks like its starting to stick more tonight. Wheeeeeee.

Buxton weather site says we had 6 inches today although it did carry on into the early evening. Apparently the cat and fiddle is shut.

You are almost making me want to go out tonight and see how far I can cycle up the Keighley Road before I find the snowline. (The summit is at 432 metres, or 1,417 ft.)

I'll see what the weather is doing tomorrow, and maybe go and check it out then instead.
