Only one stupidly close pass in a month or so and no one has under-taken me so far.

I quite enjoy sitting behind ptws as they made a racket and ward off peds, but let's see how things pan out in 3/4 months when there are lots more cyclists and ptws sharing the bus lane...

The last 5 motorbikes I've seen on my short bus lane stretch of commute have all been in it. Only one of them cut me up though.

Do they have a legal right to be there ?

No.

Naughty. We have them in Chelt. I have never seen m/cycles in them illegally though as some bus lanes are time limited.

If it's the same road I'm thinking of (the one with TGI fridays on) it's pretty wide isn't it? So there's more space for motorbikes to filter?

The lane is only operational between 7am to 7pm monday to saturday IIRC along the A40 past TGIs. There are some in town centre as well, but they are exclusively for buses, cycles and taxis which I've never seen used illegally in the many years they have been in place.
