Sorry to hear about your accident. I seem to remember you posting on another thread about wanting a recumbent, any chance of the driver coughing up for one of them?!!!!!!!!!!

On a positive note, I can definitely recommend Vitorria Rubino Pros if you're looking for tough tyres. The front wheel may be bent out of all recognition, but the tyre is still pumped up hard!

Haa ha. got to be the best review ever ! Made me giggle

Glad your OK. Hope you get a really nice bike

Final update on this for now.

I took the bike down to the lbs this afternoon, and he's quoted for a replacement bike and all my gear (which I hadn't thought about). My Spanish friend has also convinced me to pursue a personal injury claim, so we're seeing a lawyer tomorrow and I won't be posting any more about this until that's all done and finished with.

I'm quite sore this evening, so I'm going to spend the rest of the day with my feet up and looking at shiny new bikes on the net

Good luck Lulu. From my limited experience of cycling in Spain I thought thing weren't bad but today I read your story and then this appeared on my FB wall  .

Horrible. It sounds like it was a tourist, though, rather than a local person. Probably looking at the view rather than where he/she was going.

I still think cycling here is safer overall than in the UK. At least they're not out to get you here.

Eek. Hope you get better soon and the new bike gets sorted out quickly.

Glad you are still able to tell us about it ! ^_^

GWS and take your time about getting up-an'-at-it - too quick and it can set you back further ...

... and you'll need that extra time to go through all the difficulties of 'What Bike ?'
