I have some plain alloy charge ones spare with stem and brake lever, clad in honey leather brooks, sat on shelf in shed going nowhere...

Thats very very kind of you dear sir.. but, me, being the tart I am, will be going for matching, colour co-ordinated Deda stem and bars and tape and seat pin, as, I very much am, a tart...

But thank you very much however.

No point riding fixed in London AT ALL unless to indulge your own unique tart-like tendencies.

I live in a one fixed town (and own half the singlespeeds too!) and commute to a no fixed town. The former is soon to become a two fixed town. The one I'm building at the moment will give free reign to my own tartyness!

Liking the look of that bike Mr Walnuts

I off-loaded my fixed, just over a year ago (just wasn't using it for anything but pan flat rides) and it scared me a bit in London traffic. Thinking about building a replacement though... How many bikes can one fit in a one bed flat, I wonder

Hope to see you out on it soon - maybe Whitstable?

A fixed jean for the masses? I'd rather spend my money on Muxu jeans, and tbh, those of a more ample calf (sob only 41cm's here) are probably better off with plus two's or 3/4's

yeah I like the belt espmy days as a courier used to see them

I miss my fixie (why did I get gears)

Reading this thread is making me fancy building a fixie just for the hell of it, but I like taking my old tourer to work for those lovely lunchtime rides (I work close to the countryside).

Maybe I could commute on the fixie but carry the tourer on my back...
