I'm with Mr.Pig - this is really a dead end road and things will get awkward if/when she finds another bloke. Not worth putting yourself through the hardship in my opinion . . .

As I see it you can't win no matter what happens.
If she just pads about with you for a while until so other bloke comes along you'll be pissed off that you've been used, led on, messed about or kept hanging.
If she ends up going back out with you the doubt about her commitment is always going to be at the back of your mind, quite rightly I'd say.
And don't say you don't care either way as if that were true you would never have asked about it in the first place! ;0)
