No piercings now, though I did get my naval pierced in 1989 way before it became trendy.. got fed up with it, so took it out and it's now healed up.

So where is the new boys name going? on the soles of your feet or forehead?

Had a few piercings (one under my lip, seven in left ear, three in my right one, nose pierced three times, but there was always something wrong with it), but had to remove them because of work. I also have a tattoo - a small tribal on right arm, which I'm planning to redo so it goes from around my elbow along the upper arm and up to the back of my neck. I used to be a fan of pure black tattoos, but now I'm thinking tropical flower, intense colours and all. Can't wait until Christmas - this is going to be my Xmas present

I fail to see what the attraction is in tattoos, and therefore have none. Beyond having ears pierced in order to wear earrings, I cannot see the point in piercings either. The human body is a thing of beauty anyway without having tattoos and holes all over it. Some tattoos, when fresh, look good in the way that anything done well appeals but they don't look good after a few years when 'smudged'.

No tatoos for me, too worried I would get fed up with them. Am fairly conservative on the piercing front as well, but have had my ears done (1 on left, 3 on right), bellybutton, tongue and one in a more private area... Next one planned is one of those microdermal ones on my wrist. Would love to have a cutting done as well, but so far can't decide on the design!

Why do you make an exception for these piercings?

Because they facilitate the wearing of jewellery and are not body 'adornment' in and of themselves.
