I wanted to get my tounge done, shat out it though when they pulled the tongs out to clamp it.

:ohmy::ohmy: Can't believe I missed this revelation.... is the right ear not the gay one?

yes, I believe you're absolutely correct, it's a genetic thing. If a male has only the right ear pierced it starts a genetic chain reaction resulting in total gayness. Anyone you may have met, claiming to be gay, but without the right ear only pierced, is a fraud....simples

Surely I am entitled to my own opinion? If I have become so accustomed to the sight of pierced ears that I regard them as 'normal' and other bits of metal strung through noses, labia, navels, lips, eyebrows, etc. as abnormal, that is a matter for me. From the look of it I am not the only boring old fart who thinks like this.

You are a boring old fart.

I am 37 and less boring. My partner is 30 and even less boring.
Our neighbour is 25 and not at all boring.

We all think piercings are awful. Its a taste thing.

I've one tattoo, done when I was 17. Really need to get it re-done and I fancy a full arm piece but it's expensive.

I took all my piercings out about 4 years ago. Had ears (obviously) eyebrow, lip tongue, and for a short time one in my throat which was great for freaking folk out. Being a surface to surface piercing it did eventually heal out after about 6 months. The hole in my tongue is still there, all the others closed up years ago.

I used to wear an earring and I was tempted to get tattoo'd when I was younger but I am glad I didn't. It would bug me that they are almost the norm now so there is absolutely no shock value. Has anyone else ever thought that there are going to be some weird looking OAP's going about in 20 or 30 years time?

I have pierced ears as my mum made me have them done when I was little.
I personally cannot stand tattoo's and find them very unattractive.
My Taid had a load across his chest and down his arms and they had faded and you couldn't really see what they used to be due to wrinkles etc. Kind of put me off.
My dad has an eagle down his forearm. He has had to have it re-coloured once and it has totally faded again. Yuk is all I can say!

8 ear piercings (but only wear 5), navel, 5 tattoos (hate them all except one and really, really regret having them all those years ago!). Did have my nose and eyebrow done but had to take them out due to work.
