So which brands are socially acceptable and which are not. As someone stated here in the forum: "I'd rather walk than ride a De Rosa." Personally I don't understand this hatred towards more expensive bikes. Do you?

As a starter for ten, can I suggest that all bikes are socially acceptable.

Obviously apart from BSO's :-)

The person who supplied you with that quote rides a bike that is on par price wise/more expensive then a DeRosa. Make of that what you will.

But, luckily for you, I've since given my Trek bike away.
