Was cycling along on my home this evening. I was happily freewheeling along past a group of teenagers when one kicked me with a great deal of force to knock me off my bike. I still have the imprint of his foot on my bag such was the force he used.

I'm not angry about this but rather sad that someone would want to do this to me - to anyone.

A blatant and nasty attempt to scare and or injure, I really worry how things seem to be going.

Sorry to hear that Princess, no-one deserves that kind of crap. I suspect the reason he did it was because he was a complete and utter waste of skin. Pisses me off that I have to share the earth's resources with cretinous little oxygen-thieves like that. Have a virtual hug.

I sympathise PP. It is so common nowadays to get verbally abused whilst riding, it is but a small step to direct action for these morons. They just seem to have a desperate need for a reaction. Please don't take it personally. if it wasn't you it would be the next rider along.

Little scrote. One day he'll pick on the wrong person and they'll be taking a good kick at him in return.

Don't let the scumbags get you down, Princess.

I find this sort of thing quite depressing, I cannot deny the reality, but I can't really conceptualise the mindset that would generate this behaviour. Glad you're ok, try not to let it get to you.

This is when they are at their worst, showing off, acting big, see individuals and they never do anything alone.

+1

I always give groups of teenagers a wide berth whenever I have to cycle past them - males or females incidentally. Had one teenage girl scream (I do mean scream) ''You're going to die!'' at me as I rode past her.

Perceptive for pissed up, I thought.

How sad that we're so frightened of our youth.

The season for these lowlife is about on us. Wait til we have the first hot weekend weather when they are drunk and out of control. There will be lots of vomit and broken bottles and cans on cycle paths and pavements the next day .

Someone I was riding with a couple of years ago had their bike kicked and quite a lot of damage inflicted by someone trying to kick them off the bike. I'm glad this event being talked about on here didn't have a worst case scenario happen either. I think it's a shame but you have to be vigilant of some of the areas you're cycling through.
