No, these minor irritations pale into insignificance compared with the annoyingly lazy habit of saying: "I was like...." instead of using a simple adjective.

Example: "I was surprised" becomes: "I was like.... wow!"

Blame 'Neighbours' and 'Home and away' for that!

I'm trying to revive words and phrases from the 30s, 40s and 50s. I'm claiming some success on 'blimey' and 'crikey'. I'm not having as much success with the American 'peachy-keen' or 'dandy', but I'm a patient sort of chap.
