that's the 'Australian Interrogative'

I'm trying to revive words and phrases from the 30s, 40s and 50s. I'm claiming some success on 'blimey' and 'crikey'. I'm not having as much success with the American 'peachy-keen' or 'dandy', but I'm a patient sort of chap.

How is "Holy Toledo!" getting on?

We are the "True" middle of the country

Actually the true middle of the country is a small village called Dunsop Bridge in the Forest of Bowland, which is reckoned to be the geographical centre of the British Isles. It's one of my regular cycling destinations and has a smashing cafe where Trevor the owner does all his own baking. DB is about 40 miles north of Manchester.
