I'm looking to buy a pair of specialized cycling shoes on-line but am unsure of the sizes.

I usually take a UK 10-11, but have bought Shimano and 661 cycling shoes both in size 46 as the 45s were very tight.

Is it the same with Specialized so should I also go for a 46 or are they more 'roomy' and therefore opt for a 45?

Cheers

PS. I know I can send them back but that's about £6 in Postage (and there are no shops local stocking them)

I have some. I've found them to be bang on "average" fit-wise. No need to go up a size, unlike the Nike and Sidis I have which are on the tighter side.

I have the specialized Taho shoes and I take the same size in those as normal shoes but with the shimanos I need a couple of sizes bigger so I take a 43 in the specialzed and normal shoes and a 45 in shimanos. The tahos are quite a snug fit width wise on my feet but I have used them for about a year with no problems.

I've got Tahos and they are the same size as my normal shoes.

Sidi and Shimano I have a size up and the shimanos are a bit narrow to be comfortable on long rides, hence retired in favour of the Tahos.

I have found Specialised sizes to be accurate but Shimano to be on the small side.

The man in the EBC said that Specialized shoes will give you the real size of your feet - they are very accurate in their sizing, apparently. If you fit 43 in Spesh shoes, that's the size of your feet.

I recently bought some specialized sonoma mtb shoes (just gone clipless after 2 months back on the bike following a 14 year hiatus - eek!).
I'm a UK 10.5 so tried 44, 45 and 46.
45 was best fit, if a tiny bit roomy (but I have slightly narrow feet) - they feel fine once pedalling and my feet have warmed up and swollen a bit.

I find I have to buy a size up in Specialized - although after trying on about 5 different models I found that they even vary between each shoe! I've made mail order mistakes and now won't buy shoes before trying but if you really can't find a stockist then I'd recommend just order a few different shoes in different sizes to try on a load, put them on credit card and just accept the return postage in lieu of travelling to a well stocked shop.
