spin classes wtf?

I used to be really into spin I would take two double classes a week .

Then two guys that i took the classes with, died in classes that I didn't attend and then my instructor suffered an aneurism whilst instructing, she survived. (all this happened within one year at the Bromley Holmes place...i was amazed it didn't make the paper)

I stopped then and took up road cycling as it seemed safer...i don't mean this as a joke, I had serious reservations about the intensity of the class and also the clubs ability to offer first aid.

Funnily enough I am considering rejoining the same gym as I cannot ride as much as I once did, due to work commitments. I will want to understand their first aid availability...First

I do and I really enjoy them, good mix of people and it's fun. I'd always prefer to be cycling outside but when it's cold and wet spinning is much more enjoyable. I don't ride in the rain if at all possible.

That's a shame, the gym business is highly competitive locally, I can think of 6 within a 1 mile radius. Fees are now down to £15 a month, £180 a year.

There's a cheaper gym, I went for a while, but the spin classes were awful.
And people kept telling me it was wrong to leave my bike outside to go ride a stationary bike

They're doing spin classes in the swimming pool. Money to be made everywhere I guess. Just ensure the music rocks. Its very motivating don't you know.
