Hi all.
I have an ultra coming up soon & plan a 200 mile ride soon after.

I need a top market carb mix drink to provide me with much of my carbs through liquid. I'm thinking something better than the usual SIS products.

I watched a programme where Bradley Wiggins said he used pineapple juice diluted with water. Maybe he does but I'm also pretty sure he has some special blends going on too.

What strikes me is that if you have past experience of such long distance events, then you probably already have a good idea of what works for you, and what doesn't, whereas 99% of us have never done anything as hard as what you are proposing!

If you haven't tackled long distance events before, then I think that you are probably going to get a nasty shock!

I'm actually looking for more advanced nutrition than found in the LBS & running shops. Who in their right mind would sign up to an ultra without a few long distance events under their belt? :eek:

Although it is a risk changing things in case of getting an upset stomach. I may just stick with Zipvit.

goody I plan an audax style ride with a reasonable tempo. So cafes are included for solids.

he crossed the atlantic in a pedal boat...cool...but to inline skate across the states....up some of those hills...hats off to him!
