My Mum has just given me two Aloe vera plants though I think they are a bit small to use yet, she uses the leaves if she burns herself cooking.
My aloe plants are a bit bigger and I too, use the gel from the leaves if I burn myself cooking. I also have a tube of aloe, its as close to pure gel as you can get, according to the FDA.

Make sure that your little plants aren't subjected to frost, its about the only thing that will kill them.

..., its about the only thing that will kill them.
add my mother to that list - she can kill any plant - trust me!

I generally don't use any lotions or potions. Warm gloves and a good buff to keep my face and lips warm and covered seems to work fine for me. However, sometimes I use E45 on my hands to keep them moisturised.

Not found a solution for helmet hair though, but having said that often helmet hair is better then early morning standing up hair!

That's something I don't get! How can you boys be bothered to shave your legs/chest/whater-else-you-shave-apart-your-face every other day? Why don't you wax??? Don't you want to be hair-free and smooth and pimple-free for a month or so?
Goodness, I'm female and only shave my legs and whathaveyou about once a week. The only time I ever tried waxing I ended up with a lot of wax on my legs which were as hirsuite as before I started.
I use nivea on my face (mostly around my eyes) and vaseline body lotion on my hands - but I think I'd be less fussy if I didn't have mild excema which will flare up if I don't moisturise. Lipsalve too. I like the little vaseline tins you can get.
I wonder if I'm typical of female cyclists in not being typically feminine - I really don't bother too much what I look like most of the time, so long as I'm tidy enough for the occasion (yes I will scrub up on rare occassions, but I have 20-year-old makeup that I still drag out which my younger sisters bought me because they reckoned I should wear some...)

well you are doing more than this non-typical woman is... usually only remember to brush my hair occasionally! as for make-up don't have any, don't have a hairdryer either...and I try hard not to scrub up, don't like it!

I use Nivea hand cream sometimes, especially after doing any work with wet mortar or concrete - gloves or not the stuff seems to suck the moisture right out of your hands...

I have a hairdryer from when I had (very) long hair. Since I had it cut short I don't bother drying it but I keep the hairdryer to lend to any visitor who might want to borrow it (e.g. my sister) and it is also very useful for defrosting the fridge or freezer...

Would love to, don't love the thought of wax though!

Constantly washing hands in my line of work so moisturisers and alcohol rubs are pretty much part of my day anyway. No shame in that
