I started riding SPDs in October to bought a pair of Northwave winter boots. They have been superb in the cold and in the wet.

With the possibility of spring eventually coming I need to get a pair of new road shoes. I'm looking for recommendations. I don't want to spend more than £100.

DHB from wiggle do some pretty good (cheap but punching way above their price) shoes.

I was hoping to buy some from a bike shop so I can try them on before buying. I have wide feet so need a wider fitting shoe.

OP wants SPD shoes I think
But you can't walk in SPDs ;)

To be honest I have no idea why people choose SPD shoes when you can have MTB cleats which you can walk in. The DHB ones are comfy for the wider foot (I'm a wide EU 46/UK 11) and I have no problems with fit, both width or length. The only thing I'd change is that I'm not a fan of the cleat catching the floor as I walk but I suspect that is more the cleat than the shoe.

Spd shoes have mtb cleats ;) and you can walk n them. I have specialized Tahoe shoes, perfectly ok for walking around in

Spd-sl are the ones that are like walking on ice skates without recessed cleats
