Next time you're tempted to escape "The Port" for the finer resorts of the Clyde, let me know and I'll scatter some broken Buckie bottles along the prom to make you feel at home . You're too modest, Mo.. Some of you even have a bike ..... which does about 50 miles every day before most of us have had breakfast, with a ridiculous amount of hills thrown in, and at a most impressive average speed .

I stayed in for a delivery yesterday, one of those where they send you an email in the morning with an estimated time of arrival (within one hour)
You even get to track your delivery man on a map as he/she whizzes around your neighbourhood.

I'm waiting for a delivey too. DPD are better in giving a small window of an hour this afternoon.
Should be just in time. Barbecued fish for tea tonight - and they're delivering the barbecue!

There was broken glass on the prom..
much better than the divert off the cycle track I had to make on the journey down,sadly...

Get a neighbour to stay in for you. A nice old one they love nosing around your house. Make sure the house is clean though as they will tell everyone in the street your a minger. I always have a neighbour water my plants for me. she has a good rummage in my underwear draw and I always leave a well used pair of cycle shorts for her to have a sniff of!!!

It arrived at 11:15, with a phone call to give me 30 minutes notice - well done John Lewis.
Was told to leave it for a couple of hours before switching it on, so just about to do that.
Waiting time was spent washing the car then giving it a treat with a coat of AutoGlym polish. Just about to jump into the gleam machine and head for Tesco to fill the boot with food for the freezer. You don't realise how much you miss these things until they stop working!
