No cycling involved but surely if Charles HRH can drive to London to see his father in Hospital so can others visit there parents and grand parents , just like Cummings and Boris's trip to Scotland recently rules do not apply

Visiting someone in hospital is permitted however if there is a possibility they may die...which is always a possibility with a sick 99 year old

Compassionate visits
You may also leave home to visit someone who is dying or someone in a care home (if permitted under care home guidance), hospice, or hospital, or to accompany them to a medical appointment.

Al’s father is currently in a recovery hub care home after being discharged from hospital. They have a covid wing and a non covid wing. Since being moved onto the non covid wing he has been allowed weekly visits. How far the visitors are legitimately allowed to travel, I don’t know. And how strict police would be if they stopped you and decided the distance was too far, I also don’t know.
