What do people use to patch stone chips, especially when they go down to the frame?

I have a tin of Hammerite and a jar of Plasticote; both in near colours to my silver frame, but I am open to suggestions as I have quite a few to do before I re-assemble my bike.

Either will do. I use car touchup -

why bother, the frame is lighter? the only issue is with steel frames that may rust ro not looking nice but when you paint them, they'll just chip again.

02GF74: cos to stop the rust, rather than to look pretty.

If I don't fit lights will I go faster?

One day I got half way to work and realised I left my keys behind. I was lighter but I put 20 minutes on my journey having to go back for them.

yes. if you watch the Tour de France or any road race, you will see no lights or reflectors fitted to the bicycles.

Watch the model enamel now, as it's available in a water based paint as well.... you need the older smelly stuff.....

Using the 'water based stuff' with my 9 year old.....far better .... but not for a bike.
