How was it for you?

This seemed to be the extent of it during my walk today.

Had to abandon a walk around Baggy Point today. Missus said she wanted to go and see the big waves. She wasn't so keen after the wind blew her over near a 150 foot sheer drop!

I heard John Kettley, the weather man, on Radio Four at lunchtime. The interviewer seemed to want him to big-up Eleanor. He replied that storms in early January are entirely normal for the UK and that this one was unexceptional. Top man.

Anyway, the wheelie bin in Cornwall was still upright when we left.
yes, as I said strong winds had been predicted from the Low that was tracking over western scotland, but that break away little weather bomb that produced gusts of 100mph and a named storm had not, and even when they did realise sometime yesterday they seemed clueless as to where it was going. All quite exciting for a weather watcher like me
Sorry, misread what you put!

One of the three wheely bins was knocked over and moved down the side of the house, so that had to be shifted before I could get me and my bike out at 5.15. Damn thing was blocking the side of the house again when I arrived home later this afternoon. Don't know what else has gone on in the garden as it was dark when I left and knackered when I arrived home and couldn't be arsed to look.
Flooding on a local road and it looked like a tree cutter had left the drop side of his flatbed open for the first couple of miles or so of my commute, before trees gave way to hedges and wire fence. Many larger than usual puddles.

Not a huge amount of interest here, though gusts to 45mph were enough for me to take SWMBO car to work last night. Much as I love my cycle commuting when it's that gusty it's not much fun, nor that safe.
