Wet and windy travelling from Fife to Edinburgh, lots of standing water (with some drivers going way too fast for the conditions) and the bridge is shut to cyclists/peds - though I saw a couple of hardy cyclists on the Edinburgh roads.

My wheelie bin is chained to my ladders. It's pulled the ladders off the wall such is the strength of the wind! I've decided against going for a ride, though the 75 year old bloke who runs the club phoned me to tell me he's going.

It's been pretty wild here overnight; strong winds and torrential rain. Don't know that it deserved a name though; 60 mph winds and constant rain seem to have become "normal" weather here .

We has the hoolie but the promised rain isn't nearly as bad as forecast. Met Office deluge = slight rain.

Still blowing a gale here, that's over 18 hours of this particular storm. Why is it that these storms manage to cross the Atlantic in about 48 hours, then take another 2 days to cross the UK?
