Bit blustery on way in but nothing abnormal. Seem to have missed all the fun!

Had this on the cycle path to contend with tho:

Burn green wood and you'll get a chimney fire.

Well the landlord himself begs it off the neighbours when they have tree work done and stockpiles it in the yard. He gets the chimney's cleaned anually also. I tend to let it sit near a radiator a couple of weeks before use anyhow, dunno if it dries it totally, but enough so it starts splitting.

I'd love a wood burner, some houses on my road have them and it looks lovely to see the flames flickering as you walk past. (I don't stare in the window!)

First very cold morning of the year here in the "northern" plains of Alberta. Was -13 C with gusting wind (snow in some of the southern area). Today's high is expected to be -1 C. I will have to get m y Lobster claws out tomorrow.

I didn't cycle yesterday, but today's ride was more like cyclocross, I had to shoulder the bike six or seven times to clamber over fallen trees on the Grand Union Canal between Greenford and the Nth Circular, took about 10 mins longer than normal. I doubt it will be cleared by this evening and I don't fancy doing that in the dark so will probably go up the Harrow Rd instead.

There's more dead wood down today. Two lanes going down POW rd, car on my left turns into my lane without indicating or checking, I go Whooooooaaaaaaahhhhhhh! - I mean towards the end I was bellowing, drivers window was open, The Fxxx are you doing!? I shout, he looks baffled and confused. Nobber.
