I came second on a segment today so I had a look to see who beat me and it's a bloke ! How can a male cyclist get a QOM?

Male name and a male photo.

Cos the idiot said he's a woman when registering...make a sarcastic comment on his effort ;)

I've got one where I'm second woman, the first one was quite evidently Travelling with motorised assistance, significantly quicker than the fastest male, although perhaps a cynic...something like 33mph up a hill...yeah right. Although to be fair, generally she doesn't look a bad cyclist

I like looking at the placings...I dragged myself along a draggy slight incline the other day...I got a PR, the QOM about twice as fast as me...one Joanna Rowsell who's local :notworthy: she has a gold postbox around a mile from here :okay:

There is a segment around here where the ride posted by the female who has the QoM is 100% indentical to the data posted by her rde partner, a male, on the same day.

Does Strava have a tandem section? LOL.

I flagged my first ride on strava today . Its not something I ever thought I would do but getting into the top ten on a segment had me look at the other riders for their times . Knowing the local roads around here and seeing this rider had KOM on every stretch of road and they where at the national speed limit had my suspicion aroused :headshake:It was the dual carriage way speed that gave them away . That and going to a school first and then turning around in a bus garage :headshake:

indeed, i find KOMdefender very handy as it scans your routes regularly and tells you if it finds odd speeds/data.

The only on road KOM i ever had (I held a bridleway one on the CX for a while) was when I didn't turn off the Garmin whilst being rushed to A&E by a kindly neighbour. In my defence, once I was back home, I did edit and correct the ride to where it had come to a somewhat abrupt ending.
