As I said, all about the money. No customers, cut the service. That's what they'll do about it.
Well yes - but they might keep the rights so no other channel takes them and might take some viewers
or sell them off piecemeal so you end up in a situation where you have to subscribe to 10 different "services" to watch all the races

Does anyone know if Discovery + is covering the GP Marseilles this afternoon?
They have shown it live the last 3 years, but I can’t only find it on a new French channel.
They had a bit early on Novo 19 the french fdj series ( coupe decFrance?) is all on Novo 19
So that’s potentially 15 races that Discovery+ has lost?
I popped into the cycling news forum and there’s quite a lot of grumbling on there too, about the lack of linear coverage. There was also this from commentator Brian Smith:

Latest viewing figures show YouTube is becoming the choice of many. Theres a fair bit of cycling on there if you look for it with highlights etc. by TNT Cycling and many races put up there own.In a few years there will be people at the top wondering why young people are not starting cycling any more
and why the broadcasters have stopped showing much cycling from the Olympics due to low viewing fiigures
Well... (For example) 5 or 6 minutes of a 1 hour cyclo-cross race is better than nothing, but I still miss the rest of the action!Latest viewing figures show YouTube is becoming the choice of many.
