🙄 Yes, tick the box, then up pops the usual eye/hearing test. Have you passed enough of them in the past that it might trust you a bit and not test you as often, perhaps?
I don't know, but that one certainly didn't pop up either the recognise characters or the "select all squares with ..." and quite a few do.

That one was just tick the box (as are quite a few for me, I had assumed that was the same for everybody)

According to this Netflix would end up with the sports rights for the UK (indeed everywhere apart from the US)

I have already had an email from Netflix regarding the takeover. Almost certainly the HBO streaming is going to end up under the same umbrella. So, if you subscribe to Netflix, expect a hefty rise in subs, soon.

They also mentioned HBO Max, which is where TNT Sports were destined. Remains to be seen as to whether it will be offered as a stand alone option.

I'm already considering a switch to Paramount. Probably time for new stuff anyway.
TNT? Whatever happens, if it cost more than £10/month I'll simply be giving it a miss. Maybe less.

Similar. I would consider a maximum of £10 per month, but no more. I watch quite a few films and series on Netflix and if the price shoots up to include other stuff, I'm not sure I would bother.

I have a piggyback Netflix account with my sister, which is cheaper than having my own separate account. I think if the Netflix price went up too much she would cancel hers, which would mean that I would have to pay the full price for mine. I would have to see how much that would be before deciding whether to continue with it.

TNT seems to be bundled in with my EE tv. For once it worked well being able to watch cycling, cricket and rugby, my main sport interest. I’ll not be paying for a Netflix subscription and would probably cancel the EE TV if TNT disappeared.

Everyone has their own specific circumstances, but as I already watch the WWE on Netflix and get a discount through my Sky account, I wouldn't mind the cycling going to Netflix

I told my sister about potential Netflix changes and she said that she has just noticed that she can get Apple TV+ free as a perk on one of her accounts. She may be able to organise Family Sharing on that. I confirmed that my smart TV has the app so I am hoping that she sets up an account for me.

PS I don't think there will be any cycling on there, but it might be a good alternative to Netflix for general TV streaming if that becomes too expensive.

This is happening quicker than I thought it would I must be honest.
For me personally, as an avid cycling viewer, I would probably be prepared to pay ~£18 per month, but would be unlikely to want to run that for 12 months of the year, probably more like 7 or 8 at most.

I think the days of getting to watch sport really cheaply (with no grey areas/vpns etc) are long gone.
I fondly recall picking up a 12 month sub to GCN+ on a black Friday deal for either £0.99 or £1.99.

ATV+ isn't that easy. You have an individual account (unless you sign up to the more expensive family plan) which could be accessed on multiple devices and presumably by multiple people. The trouble comes if more than one person is watching a series as you will be overwriting each other as to where in the series you are. Hopefully that makes sense. I also think some offers are not easily transferable.

Not sure it's worth getting too ahead of ourselves, even with no problems it will be a couple of years before anything changes, and that's without Trump getting involved
