What is wrong with the pavement then?
Sorry but it's got to be a safer place to be.
In my job im allowed to walk on railway lines but they do state in the rule book put yourself in a position of safety.That means get off the bloody railway line if you can.
Granted if there is no pavement there or they can't use the pavement then by all means.You wouldn't find me displaying that sort of ped behavior though.I'd rather put myself in a position of safety and that includes not using my mobile while walking on the pavement but trying to have my wits about me.IMHO.

1) He was faster than me.
2) It would have probably have ended in a slanging match.
He passed close and I notice he didn't look before he maneuvered out again.
