Just to make a change. Instead of telling me which bike to buy. Tell me why I should not buy this bike.

I will be using it for winter and summer. On roads and on gravel tracks.

The reason I say "Yes" is that Ribble have a good reputation. I like the colour. I like shimano Tiagra. You can fit a wide range of tyres. Up to 42c and it comes with 28c. You can put MTB wheels on it. Alloy, disc brakes.

I think it is set at a very good price.

Nice bike but I would question the the placing of the seat stays on a bike that may go over rough stuff, and although you say "Instead of telling me which bike to buy." another reason not to buy is for not much more cash you could have one of these, hyd brakes as well as a Ti frame, but no mudguard eyes. https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBOOPICKRIV22HRD/on-one-pickenflick-sram-rival-22-hrd-cyclocross-bike
Thats £400 more. Its a lot.

I just cant get on with dropped seat stays. Just doesn't look right. Do like the colour though and its at a fair price.
I agree, just doesn't look right, must be a lot of stress build up in that area especially if it's being used on the rough stuff. Nice looking bike though.

Don’t you have a Croix de Fer already? What does this do that it doesn’t?

It’s a nice colour but Ti is nicer

Looks like a versatile bike at he price but orange and pale blue just don't go together for my eye. Personally I would go for the all blue option.
I have heard that Ribbles customer service reputation is not allways great.
