A large glass or two, please!

This last week has been spent shovelling the white stuff off the greens. Yesterday and today (and Monday coming) are Bank Holidays here; guess who's been working?

But the big yellow thing in the sky has shown its face and we don't have minus temperatures at night now.

The same person who has just had six months off, and four? holidays?

If you mean the Ebbw Vale Festival Centre as it is now know then yes. I am around 25 miles or so away from that. Good memory  I was at the opening as well.

I do wonder what happens to these sites after the Festivals. It would be a shame if all that preparation and landscaping was wasted.

Some villages around here have "Walk about" weekends. Keen gardeners open their gardens for everyone to look round. There might be falconers, or musicians playing and vintage vehicles. Of course, Teas and cakey things are available, or the pub is open for stronger beverages. Add some sunshine, or dry weather, and it is a lovely day out.

It is now a shopping centre with a small railway, Wild Bird Sanctuary and Wood Carving / Crafting Centre :-)

* hand writes note on posh paper *

Dear Aperitif

Are you good at designing bicycles? It is my understanding that ComedyPilot would like someone to design a bicycle with a side car.

He has said something about needing to carry large packages around with him. Perhaps you could adapt a Ice Cream vending tricycle. This would have the added benefit of keeping these important packages cool in hot weather.

He would probably enjoy the admiration he gains from young ladies. They might of course, get confused and ask if they could lick one of his balls of ice cream. I would leave CP to explain the consequences to young ladies.

Regards
