I made it to work yesterday, and made it through a day of recycling, and I think it's nearly killed me.

Didn't get up until midday today, and had lunch out of habit more than hunger. Not sure if I'm just hot, or have a temperature, as it's quite muggy...

I'm sure it IS just a cold. But a stinker of one.

Eggskelters look fun. I'd probably end up breaking eggs playing with it.

Any tea on the go? I've brought my own mug, so as not to infect anyone, and I'll sit in this corner out of the way...

I had a week of it, miserable, apathetic and tired all the time.
Then I got the cold. I felt like I'd been hit by a bus.

Keep up the fluids, and if you can, check your temperature.

It has been really muggy and close in London today, and if the weather is like that in York a cold/flu will feel worse.

Ta! Normally MrWC is more than a dab hand at keeping appliances working long term, as he is a remarkably good fettler. Is is also exceedingly busy with work. So I thought I'd see if it was anything obvious & simple wrong with the machine, something even I could fettle, to avoid bothering him when he's so busy. Turns out it was simple so I could do it. I am this: smug

You know the worst thing about being single. When you lie in bed in the morning, wheezing a bit, and feeling all weak and think "I might just manage a cup of tea and some honey on toast."...

You have to bloody get up and get them yourself!
