So Arch, you are not well enough to contribute to the choccie taste testing that we were carrying out shortly after lunch are you?

No, you are not, I will eat it for you. ;)

Get well soon, it is a very muggy day here, with no breeze, which is unusual as (and I may have mentionned this before) I live at the top of a hill.

Do you know, yesterday after work, I thought "I could cheer myself up a bit with some chocolate", but I felt so washed out, I couldn't be bothered with stopping at a shop on the way home... That's how bad it was.

Dunno if chocolate is good for colds anyhoo?

I lost my sense of smell and taste when I got this lurgie and it took a while to return.
I had an expensive and pointless Japanese meal with friends during this time.;)

Green tea?

Don't be daft. Chocolate is good for everything.

Except perhaps obesity.

I had one cup of hot blackcurrant, as per my own previous suggestion, but thn I'd run out of cordial....

You'll probably have to make an emergency chocolate delivery to Arch, I don't think she's quite up to popping out for a load of chocolate at the mo.;)

I made it into the department, so I could buy chocolate on the way home...

It'll play havoc with my diet, mind. Then I'll be either better from my cold, and fat, or even worse, no better from my cold, and fat....

Sod it, one mars bar won't hurt too much...

That's it, Arch. Pushing back the frontiers of medical science. The sacrifice will be worth it.

Imagine the headlines: "COMMON COLD CURE FOUND AT LAST: CHOCOLATE - Scientists say 'If only we'd thought of it before'"... "Shares in Nestle and Cadbury's rocket" "Pharmaceutical firms said to be 'gutted'"...

I don't know either, but I think we should find out.

Best eat as much as you can, Arch, so we can be sure you've done a proper trial. You have to keep your strength up.

You just want me to trail along at the back on Saturday, puffing...

I don't need chocolate to do that!;)

I reckon there's something in it, in a round about way. I'm sure your immune system is depressed if you are mentally depressed, so it stands to reason that happiness boosts it. And what could make you more happy than chocolate?

Ok, lots of things, but anyway.

Also, if I went for something with raisins in, that would be one of my five a day...

ok, help me choose my chocolate fix.

Mars bar, or twix, or kit kat?

Or CDM....

Choices, choices.

At least with CDM, I could break off a limited number of chunks and ration it.

Well, I could....
