*wanders in*

*arranges sleeping bag over snoring BJB*

*leaves tea, Resolve, and breakfast comestibles that don't go snap-crackle-pop*

*sets CD player to play finale of 1812 overture in 15 mins. Full volume*

I am a complete bastard!;)

Morning all!
*Gratefully accepts cuppa*
*Proffers Dutch apple cake to all and sundry*

Well, the day's started well here! Seems like the IT system's having a day of "let's lose everyone's settings!" With a bit of luck no work'll get done and I can spend all day sipping tea and window shopping for shiny bike bits.

Dutch apple cake! *accepts with enthusiasm*;)

Our network is having one of it's 'up and down like TheDoctor on a unicycle' days. Which is annoying as I'm trying to do some research for an interview tomorrow.
However, it's a nice bright day out there and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride in. Other than getting cold, but that just gives me an excuse to go and make tea every half hour or so.

Same up here, sunny and clear (both skies and roads thanks to half-term!). Don't mind the chill too much as I've got a nice short commute (it probably wouldn't hurt me to live further away), and seeing as it's nice and dry I can get away with wearing my jeans rather than wearing tights and having to change at work...

Nice. I've got a 12 mile one if I go the shortest route - which I normally do as I get an extra 10 minutes in bed that way. It's a bit busier than I like, so I go a longer way home, more like 15/16 miles or so. I do do the lycra / getting changed thing, except for days when I'm the only one in. Only three in our office.
If I get the job I'm after, my commute drops down to a mile or so, so I can do that in civvies. And go home for lunch!

12 miles sounds like a good distance.
My mate commutes Sheffield-Barnsley 4 days a week (14 hilly miles) (on fixed ;) ). Funny how he's always going up hills faster than me...

Tea please!
Had an alarming incident with Ms tdr1nka on the tandem today, articulated lorry decides to muscle into a bus lane that is in operation at all times.

Luckily he managed not to knock us off but when I stop in front of him to ask why he is doing this, he gives me the finger and continues to roll forward, at this I pull out my mobile to take a picture of the company name and vehical reg and he speeds up.
Considering I have a now screaming 6 year old in tow I repair to the pavement to comfort Ms tdr1nka and write down the truck details on my arm.
I rang the company as soon as I got home, 10 mins later, and have had a genuine result, a full apology from the transport manager who will be tearing the driver off a strip in the mornin.

Dunno how much longer I've got the nerve to cycle Ms tdr1nka to school and back now.
