Cheers Doc!
*scrompfs bacon butty*

First experience of commuting in freezing fog this morning...

*snaps back to reality ooh, there goes gravity*
I had that pleasure yesterday:angry:. Bloody cold - it took me all day to warm up...
*shivers at memory*

The fire's blazing nicely now, isn't it?

Umm, anyway, I'm a bit busy at the mo...

See you for elevenses...?

Freezing fog here. Brrrr! Hope it clears by lunchtime, I have to cycle up to campus for a meeting. Had porridge for breakfats, because I'll having lunch an hour later than normal, and have to ride up to campus beforehand. I think the low GI of the oats (they are low, aren't they, the good way for GI to be?) might have been compromised by the tablespoon full of brown sugar I put on it...

Morning Arch! How's you?
I'll get the kettle on, you'll want a nice fresh one.

Fishfingers! Oh, and they are the best ethical sort - pollack, and no palm oil in the coating.

How do you all eat fishfingers? I have a friend who mashes them up, or had them in sandwiches, with vinegar, that's like sacriliege to me - you have to peel the crumb off, eat the fish, then eat the crispy crumb bit last....

Right, must just get these under the grill. Fish fingers are one of those things I could OD on - just keep eating them...

Generally in a sandwich or a roll, no vinegar.
A little salt, maybe, it depends how salty the butter is.
Or done with hash browns. A bit more salt then.
I don't dismantle before eating - but I do do that with mars bars, on the infrequent occasions I eat mars bars.

Hello again!

I've brought iced buns for elevenses, anyone want one?

I generally have fish fingers in sandwiches with ketchup, though I do remember the Arch eat-the-fish-first method from my childhood!

*descends upon iced buns*

Must admit, I didn't notice you leaving earlier, Landslide. You left your tea half-drunk.

*Offers tea all round*

I can guess!

Been there, done that, got the stained T-Shirt the following day.;)

has the fog cleared in your part of the world? It's still a bit grey round here.

Nope, still foggy (the weather, not my worldview!).

Hoping it perks up a bit so I can go and play footy later. Apparently we'll not be allowed on the pitches if they're frozen (it's Health and Safety gawn maaaaaaaaaad!!!)

Thank you for the iced-buns - pleesed ;) that the Doctor managed to leave me some.

Sorry Arch, no choc mints with the c*ff** last night. But you would have been very happy with the Tea Pots. They were in the shape of elephants, and the small lid was also in the shape of an elephant. I did not have my phone with me, or I would have taken a photo.xx(

I did comment that the elephant had very short legs in comparision to the size of its body. To which someone very funnily replied, "Well, you wouldn't want tea in your legs would you?":laugh:

Oh, they sound like excellent teapots!

I got a present last night. A forummer of this parish (not the tea thread, the forum generally) had seen a cushion cover with elephants on, on his travels, and bought it for me! He said he hoped it would match my decor.

Spooky! I worry that he may have been spying on my sofa while I was out, to have matched it so well!
